Today, on our 2016 Nissan Versa, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit with removable arms.Now, per the Nissan Versa note, you're going to need seven main components to be able to flat two it down the road. You're going to need a two bar, a base plate, safety cables, a diode wiring kit, a braking system, a battery charge line, and a brake light relay. Our base plate is going to give us a solid and reliable connection point. That way, we can hook our tow bar to our motorhome to our base plate and allow us to flat tow our vehicle down the road.One of the things I like about this base plate kit is that it's not going to be very visible. more

Now for the Nissan Versa Note, you're going to need seven main components to be able to flat tow it down the road. You're going to need a tow bar, a base plate, safety cables, a diode wiring kit, a braking system, a battery charge line, and a brake light relay.For our tow bar, here we're using the Roadmaster Falcon 2 which doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some of the other ones, but it's going to be a very reliable and easy to use tow bar that'll provide us with that solid connection point. It's going to be nonbinding, that way if it ever does get in a bind when we're on uneven ground, it'll be a lot easier to hook up or disconnect from our vehicle.Another great option for a tow bar would be the Nighthawk. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Versa, you're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Road Master Easy-to-Base Plate kit with removal arms, part number 52353-1. It's gonna be one of five main components in a flat tow setup. The other four are gonna be your safety cables, your wiring, your breaking system, and your tow bar. This is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. This is going to give us a solid mounting point for our tow bar, when we're flat towing our Nissan. In a solid connection point between our RV and our Nissan while we're flat towing it. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2013 Nissan Frontier- Video

Today, we'll be installing the Blue Ox base plate kit with removable arms, part number BX1843, on our 2013 Nissan Frontier. Here's what our base plate looks like installed. As you can see, it's very unobtrusive; it doesn't stick out hardly at all from the vehicle. It goes in position where the factory tow hook was on the passenger's side and goes in place where there could have been a factory tow hook on the driver's side. Some models may actually have a tow hook here if you have an off-road edition; it all depends. Now, when you're not using your base plate to tow your Frontier behind your RV, it comes with these plugs here that you can insert on either side, and this will keep any mud, dirt, or debris from entering the base plate and making the arms difficult to insert. When you're ready to tow, all you have to do is remove them by pulling them out. You can take your removable arm, you insert it at a horizontal angle, like so, and then twist it until it locks into place, just like that. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2008 Nissan Frontier- Video

Today on this 2008 Nissan Frontier, we're going to show you a Blue Ox base plate. Part number BX1843. This is what the base plate looks like when it's installed on the truck. Now, the receivers for the attachment tabs are located right here. It does require some modification of trimming on this section right here. This is where the tow hook used to be on the vehicle, so the tow hook is removed in the process of putting this on. Now, on our particular vehicle here didn't have a tow hook on this side. We had to cut out everything to match the other side. more
